My prints are sent directly from this professional printer but have been proofed by me personally.

They are Open Edition prints and so are not numbered and there is no limit to the number of prints issued.

If you would like a certificate of authenticity issued separately, please let me know.

What is a Giclée Print?

A Giclée print is a very high quality reproduction of an original artwork.

My original artwork is professionally photographed or scanned to provide a high-resolution copy of the original artwork. The image is colour corrected to attain the closest possible match to the original work.

A specialised printer sprays microscopic dots of pigment-based archival ink onto high quality acid-free art paper.

Giclée prints provide sharper images and better colour definition.  Both the ink and paper onto which the image is transferred offer around 80 years lightfastness and UV-resistance with the appropriate care.

Why buy a print?

Buying a print is a fantastic way to enjoy beautiful artwork at an affordable price. Here are a few reasons to consider adding a print to your collection:

Affordability: Prints are a more budget-friendly option compared to original artworks, allowing you to enjoy stunning pieces without breaking the bank.

Quality: My prints are produced using high-quality materials and techniques, ensuring vibrant colours and fine details that closely match the original.

Versatility: Prints come in various sizes and formats, making it easy to find the perfect piece for any space in your home or office.

Accessibility: Prints make it easier to own and share my art, whether you're a seasoned collector or new to the art world.

Gifting: They make thoughtful and unique gifts for friends and family who appreciate art and animals.

For every print I sell, I donate 20% of the profit to a wildlife conservation cause.  By choosing a print, you’re not only supporting my work but also supporting wildlife conservation.

Do your prints come with a Certificate of Authenticity?

If you buy my prints from an event or exhibition, they come with a certificate of authenticity.

If you buy online, you can request a certificate of authenticity which I will send separately.

How should I care for my original coloured pencil artwork?

Your original artwork has been created using only the finest quality materials and an archival acid-free surface.  You should always keep your artwork out of direct sunlight and in conditions where the humidity and temperature is stable.

Unframed artwork

Please keep your artwork in its packaging, flat and facing upwards until you get it framed.  Ideally you should not handle it unframed, as the pencil may smudge if touched.

I highly recommend using a professional framer who will be able to give you excellent advice on choosing a beautiful mount and frame to showcase your artwork.  I always advise framing behind Tru Vue or a similar Art Glass.

Framed artwork

My artwork is framed in beautiful handmade bespoke frames by a long-established fine art framer.

It is framed behind Tru Vue Glass to give UV protection and a superior, low-glare viewing experience.

If your artwork is being transported or stored it should be placed face up or ideally kept upright on its bottom edge.

How should I care for my original pastel or charcoal artwork?

I do not use fixative on my artwork and I highly recommend using a professional framer experienced in working with charcoal and pastel artwork. I always advise framing behind Tru Vue or a similar Art Glass.

Your Giclée print has been created using only the finest quality materials and an archival acid-free surface.  You should always keep your artwork out of direct sunlight and in conditions where the humidity and temperature is stable.

If you're in the UK, medium and large prints are shipped flat.  Please keep your print in its packaging, flat and facing upwards until you get it framed. Ideally you should not handle it without gloves as oils from your skin may damage the surface.

Prints for destinations other than the UK and bespoke larger prints are shipped rolled, as this is the safest way to send them.

How to unroll your Giclée print

Ideally you should wear clean cotton gloves when handling the print or wash your hands first to remove any oils.

Hold the print carefully at the edges, place it on a flat, clean surface with the protective acid-free paper with which it was supplied, over the print. Place a heavy book at both ends of the print. The print will flatten over the course of a few days.

Do not attempt to roll the print in the opposite direction as this may damage the finish of the print.

Framing your Giclée print

I recommend using a professional framer who will be able to give you excellent advice on choosing a beautiful mount and frame to showcase your artwork.

If your print will be framed without a mount, please ensure that spacers are used so that the print does not touch the glass.

I always advise framing behind Tru Vue or a similar Art Glass to give UV protection and a superior, low-glare viewing experience.

Do you help customers select mounts and frames for the artwork they've purchased?

The final frame and mount for your artwork is an important choice which can enhance your special piece of art even further.

I always recommend using a professional framer.  A good framer will be able to guide you in selecting a mount and frame that works beautifully with your artwork.

I am happy to share details of the framer I use if you are local.

Can I see examples of past commissions?

My gallery has a small collection my most recent work on it, including wildlife and pet portraits.  I update it every month.

You can also read what customers have to say about the work they’ve commissioned from me on the testimonials page.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes!

I ship unframed original and commissioned artwork internationally using a tracked service with Transglobal Express.  I can give you an estimated shipping cost at the time of booking and will confirm the final cost once the artwork is completed and fully packaged.

If you are interested in buying one of my framed originals, please get in touch as these require a more specialist shipping option.
