This fox was created as part of the longer, quieter process of grief.
I had lost both of my parents within days of each other at Christmas 2020, and their absence reshaped the way I moved through the world.
In the months that followed, I found comfort in the most magical book, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.
One page in particular stayed with me — a fox beneath the moon, accompanied by two simple words:
Be Curious.
My Dad carried that quality effortlessly. What I once teased as nosiness, I later understood as a gift - an openness to people, ideas and the world around him.
This fox became a tribute to that quiet curiosity.
Beneath the moonlight, he holds both tenderness and strength - a reflection of love, remembrance, and the enduring influence of those who shape the way we see the world.
